one of the great things about “Enterprise” was that every now and then we would get to work on a vessel that we so loved from the original series… This was a great assignment to retro out the Tholian ship. The drawings went thru fairly easily with only two versions shown here in the sketch. The prominent version in the center was chosen and from here the Foundation boys took over and did their magic!!!
The tholian ship was one of my alien ships form TOS.

Cool artwork! So who designed the actual Tholian? That must’ve been the coolest job of that episode, since it was such an out-there concept connecting directly to TOS design work.

In the mirror-episode, we saw one of these as almost a cargoship with containers inside the tholian base. Was it this one, or was it a modified version?
