Race to Witch Mountain

In Honor of this the first week of the release of Disney’s “Race to Witch Mountain” here are some pictures of the Kids Space craft. I had always wanted to do a flying saucer and this was a fun movie to do so on. This one was a team effort. I worked out the overall look, than CG artist Billy Hunter started to do the set blueprints and detailed modeling, He left early for another gig and Aric Chang came in to finish off all the modeling. These guys are awesome and it was a treat to work with em.

I remember the first 2 witch mountain films. I like the old school concept of the flying saucer, thanks for the art.

My g/f’s son already asked us to take him to see Witch Mountain again. I really liked the ship design, very well thought out – but maybe they should put some safety netting over the energy source lol. Looking forward to seeing you at WF –

This ship is magnificent! I’d love to see deckplans and blueprints as well as interior pictures and art. The plasma reactor was a nice touch.
