Here is another one from the Perpetual files. This little Federation ship was my first project when i started working with Ryan and Todd. It’s classified as Starship despite its small scale. My mind was still in Nemesis mode so my thoughts were into merging elements as opposed to having them segmented. it was a fun lil ship to start off with and I have the ortho’s to this one as well.

Tough little ship. I guess I’ll hang that on my living room wall next to your Phoenix.

Keep’m coming! I love getting to see all these concepts; we never really got to see enough variety in Starfleet ship design over the course of the TV shows…silly budgets.

I can’t help but notice that the structure at the back of the saucer looks (a) like a machine-gun ball turret on the back of an airplane bomber, and (b) a Star Wars Clone Trooper helmet!

    Nice one.
She looks like a Cylon-Raider in the front and rear views 🙂

she does have a Cylon Radier Look to it, which I makes it look cool.
I guess this was to be some sort scout, or something that was created after the Defiant Project.

the Cylon look was a happy accident when translating the 3/4 view into plans. the Raider has always been a fav so it was fun to leave the view as a homage to the Cylon Empire!!

That’s pretty cool, John… the love child of a Cylon Raider and a Blade Runner “Spinner”… sweet.

John, Thanks for these posts! Where do you get these ideas? I’m already working out in my head how to build the primary hull. Sounds funny but, I get home everyday and your blog is one of the first places I goto to see what’s up. Keep the posts coming as I love the ship designs. Oh, did you ever find the orthos for the ARCHER? She’s my favorite so far!

You have done so many beautiful concepts and you’re posting them so fast that I don’t know what to model first!

Just wow, to all of these!

<3!!! I love this little bugger, it reminds me so much of an old concept I did years back which I called the Manta Ray (because… well, it looked like a manta :P)! I think this definetely begs to be fleshed out! While Mad Koi Fish is busy with the doughnut ship, I think I’ll tackle this one ^_^
