I almost forgot to put this stuff up from last weeks Goldsmith journey. This some of the treasures Mr. goldsmith gave to me during the three scoring sessions Over the years he did for First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis.

I was wondering on Monday why we didn’t have the final stuff for the Jerry & Ron week, now I know why. (I forget sfuff all the time, so it ain’t no thing. ;))

That’s some awesome stuff. I was looking at that TMP image and the music was playing in my head. And it’s sweet that you have both his and Alexander Courage’s autographs. Their music has done so much to make Star Trek what it is. 🙂

Very cool John, did you frame those sig and put them up on your office wall?
My wife got a few of the England football team, and she huge them up. Me I don’t really care for Football except when it come to Euro and world cup. Got to support the country. 😉

Goldsmith was a genius… I don’t understand how people would say that his Trek scores in particular felt “cookie cutter”… not at all… they were perfectly matched… and often surpassed… the films that they were in.

That first shot was such a cool feast for the eyes, IMO, and Jerry’s great score really brought the whole feeling together. Watching Insurrection the other day, I noticed for the first time the perfect light harp music at the beginning, beautiful and carefree, setting the tone for the kids playing and the “innocence” of the village. I ran it back and listened three times…I definitely look at the shows and movies in a whole new light! Thanks!!

You have signed Goldsmith work in your office, I have signed Eaves work in mine!

Seriously cool stuff. Jerry’s scores were just as much a character of the movies they were featured in as was the Enterprise and her crew! Without them, I just can’t imagine it being the same. Sort of the thread that pulled the great tapestry of these movies together!

Wow, John – Jerry AND Sandy’s John Hancocks! What a thing! To have, no less!
If I had more wall space, I’d be jealous. As it is, I just think its tremendously cool.
Thanks for sharing your treasure trove with us!
