Here is the Ron Cobb Record jacket that Dan O'Bannon had in the 1970's. Dan was convinced because of this piece that Cobb was to be the one to design the Dark Star

The Arkham Asylum back in the day when a quick sketch was all you needed to get a approval to build a model,,,sometimes!
we used jewelry bits and every Dungeons and dragons character for the details and gargoyls
Madame insanity shown here was pulled from the model just before filming,, the reason for was never explained!!! this piece was sculpted by the world famous Clark Schaffer

Well it’s another way out of control day so here is a non themed mishmash accumulation of just some stuff to see and enjoy back from the old model days.
Have a great Tuesday
the shooting minature set up at the Paramount theater for the DVD showing of the Motion Picture!
Love that HK.
Did not reliase the models for Top Gun where that big.
Ah, the old toxic days, huh? Love those planes! I want one to hang from the ceiling in my office.
I love these nostalgic posts. 😀 That Terminator tank is awesome. And I didn’t know you designed Arkham Asylum for Batman Forever. I was happy when I read the book (did that before I saw the movie) and found out they were *finally* having Arkham in a movie. And when I saw it on screen I was so awestruck. Too bad they cut out the scene from the beginning of the movie where Two Face breaks out of Arkham. But that makes the final reveal towards the end of the movie more breathtaking, I guess. 🙂
For a moment there, I thought someone was building WALL-E. Boy, that ended being a little wrong.
The T-2 sort of reminds me of the failed “Robby the Robot” that was made for the first Nintendo. But this one’s out for revenge! 😀
Oh yeah, kickin’ it ol’ school practical, eh. Throwin’ down with some resin, glue, paint, and styrene. Sweet, dude. 🙂
Top Gun!! Another classic! “I feel the need – the need for speed!”
The Arkham Asylum model is brilliant! Too bad Madame Insanity didn’t make the cut! Must have hit too close to home for one of the producers or the director! Haha!
The T2 tank was one bad, bad motha! I always wished that we had been able to see more of the future in that movie.
How are things? Great site. Randy and I were just in town making Iron Man II costumes at Legacy. Sure miss hanging out with you. I’ll check back now and then and keep in touch. Take care.
