3d studio max artists needed…inquire within

Howdy all! A good friend of mine is in the early stages of starting a computer game and needs 3D studio max folks.  I do not know what the story line or theme is, but if you’re interested, please drop a line here and I’ll hook you up.  I think I was talking to Buckaroohawk about this in November and because I’m old…have forgotten to whom I was talking too….. HAAA!  Anyway, Andy is a great guy and a blast to work with so give a go if you’re interested, and we’ll move on from there!!!

What about Blender users? Blender can export to 3ds format.

I don’t know how many Max guys we’ve got here…probably a good number, but I know quite a few myself and will email you about them.

Of course, I’d like the Eavesdropping crowd to take a shot at this opportunity first, so c’mon guys! Sounds like a great chance to get some experience and exposure!

I called Andy while back, talked to him briefly, he then hadda go check on file/program compatibility issues with his guys as I don’t work in Max, and he never got back to me. Guess he didn’t care for what I was sellin’.

Thanks for the lead anywho, bro. 😉

Bah, if I had more time I’d love to of helped with this, I already have several fan projects on the go right now (as well as my fulltime day job), so I don’t think I could in good faith dedicate anymore time ot any other projects right now 😦

I suppose it does kind of depend on what and how much he needs doing ofcourse. He can always check out my blog and see if there is anything I can do to assist.

Does it specifically have to be 3D Studio Max? A lot of other applications can export compatible file types if its just the mesh required.

A friend just told me she’s been trying to post here for a while now, and every time she just gets taken back to the post with no message about her post being accepted for moderation or anything. I’m posting to see if it works for me or not – if it doesn’t then something odd is going on.

I’ve heard this from others and don’t understand what happens that some messages don’t get thru,,, I know if you use firefox as a server things seem to fix themselves and get thru!!!

    Hi John,

I’m not sure if we ever met at the SAICFF. I’ve had a couple of movies in the Festival. My ‘real job’ is as a 3d artist for games which I have been doing for the last 12 years mostly in Max – just recently finished a contract gig as Tech Art Director for Makena Technologies.

I’d like to forward my resume and info to your friend offline if that’s ok? Maybe you could send me his contact info – or give him my email address.

    Many Thanks,

    Colin Gunn

Is it too late for this?

If not here’s some of my work, if it is, well it was worth a try.

A bit late to the party, life heh. If he is still looking I work in max my stuff is on my blog
if the redirect is broke. One will have to scroll past all the doodles to locate the 3d stuff. Or searching for Madkoifish on http://www.Foundation3d.com (no membership needed to see images there) Or http://www.scifi-meshes.com
I mostly do high poly work but quite flexible and I am primarily a modeler.
