Happy Birthday to You!!! Leave a birthday wish for John

Yes, it is our host, Mr. John Eaves’ birthday today, so let’s celebrate in style.  Put on your best party attire and sit at your computer and join in the fun.

Over the hill jokes are not only welcome but encouraged.  Presents are not necessary, but it would be okay if you donate a few bucks to the charity of your choice….well, that’s okay birthday or no birthday. 😀

I’ll start us off with a joke

“You know your getting old when…

you know you can trust your friends with your secrets because they can’t remember them either” *bada bing*

I’m sure some of you can do better, but you can’t mock me unless you at least try.

No, seriously folks. 🙂

John started this blog over a year ago and has shared much of himself with his readers and put a lot of effort into bringing unique personal insights of Star Trek, sci fi art, movies and amazing people to our attention, making friends along the way.  Here’s thanks for the last year and wishes for many good posting years to come.

THANKS JOHN

Dea

PS. I’ll leave the header up for the weekend so the party can go on. 😀

Many happy returns, John and all the best for the future for you and your family. Thank you ever so much for taking time to post the amazing pictures and drawings that you have and for allowing us fanboys (and girls) into your life. It’s been a priviledge to get to know you, even if it’s by remote.

    Peace and light.

Happy B-day John, my wife’s family has a traditional song they sing, i would like to send one to you,

“this is your birthday song! It isn’t very long”

Of course over on Doug’s blog he got to ride in a B-17 dressed in WW2 flying gear, you may be hard pressed to top him.

Thanks for all the inside looks at the movies, TV shows you have given us and the small slices of your life you have allowed us to be a part of, I look forward to many more years of enjoyment not only of this blog but of the entertainment you help create.

    Well…since we’re making jokes here…

Happy Birthday John!! (Your birthday is easy for me to remember because you share it with my daughter.) Hope you get to do something fun today to celebrate! 😀

No “old” or “over the hill” jokes from me, eh. I don’t believe in getting “old.” Aging and gainng wisdom for it, sure sure, “getting old,” no way! Life begins at 40, as I see it anywho!🙂

Getting “old” is for babies. Age brings wisdom, one of life’s foremost treasures, probably only behind love and compassion.

Anywho, HAPPY Birthday, monkey-boy! I already just called ya and sang a b’day song for ya on the msg, but I’ll say it here as well, HAPPY B’DAY, bro! You’re only getting better!🙂

Ps. Call of email me about WP AFB/WonderFest plans, as we’re only goin’ if we are all goin’!

Jokes? As in a story with a humorous climax? To expect one to joke about one’s age is not logical. 😉

    Happy birthday, John. 🙂

    Happy B-day.

You know your getting old when you choose Ginkgo Biloba instead of Viagra.
At least then you can REMEBER what its like to have wood. ;-D

Bob Hope once observed that you know you’re getting old when the candles cost more than the cake.

Bob lived to be 100. May John Eaves do the same. Best birthday wishes.

  34. April 10, 2010 at 9:05 am

“Why am I wearing sunglasses indoors?”

“Because slathering on sunscreen around all those birthday candles would be tacky!” (sorry, that’s the best “e-card” I could come up with on short notice)

John, Happy Birthday! Thank you so much for sharing your artwork, designs, photos and memories with us. You are a true inspiration.

    Live/draw/design/photograph long and prosper!

Sorry I missed the Big Day yesterday, John. I’m only a few years behind you, so I won’t disparage you with any of the oft-suggested “you know you’re old when” jokes. I just hope you had a fun, safe, and very Happy Birthday!

  39. April 10, 2010 at 4:48 pm

Happy (slightly belated) birthday, John! Thanks for all your years of work and for all the effort you’ve put into this blog. I’ve loved every post, every sketch and behind the scenes tidbit, but most of all it’s been incredible to be able to actually talk to the man himself!🙂

Happy birthday John! Although I’m sure this entry was a surprise, I’m certain it wasn’t as sweet as your B-day back on Enterprise! How many banana cream pies did you get hit with? A dozen? Happy birthday, monkey-man! I’d like to kiss you, but you’re so damned ugly! (Apologies to Kim Hunter)
