Raising Arizona, the 25th anniversary

March 13th 1987-March 13th 2012,  Today is the 25th anniversary of the Coen Brothers classic “Raising Arizona”.   Story to follow,,,, sorry all I finished on Trek four weeks ago and haven’t had internet at the house because I’m getting ready to move to Wyoming, and the CA house has nothing but water n electricity,, Just started on Iron Man III today and just got a shot of the internet to post the title of today’s post only,, story to come as well as a post on the passing of Ralph McQuarrie and Moebius, from last week,,, very sad news indeed. I’ll have time at lunch to hopefully get things rolling again,,,, sorry for the busy-ness and all the delays

Anticipation is making us wait… 🙂

I look forward to reading your thoughts on McQuarrie and Moebius, particularly if you ever met Ralph McQuarrie. You seem to have met and worked with quite a few of the old greats, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised. Do concept artists often collaborate? Or are there only particular stages in the design process (such as nailing down an over all style for a movie at the beginning) when you do so, and you’re predominantly working alone?

No need to be sorry, you’ve been busy; life happens! 🙂 Look forward to seeing you back in action when you’re settled after the move!

Always glad to see even a few words from you! 😀 Get things taken care of work and home-wise, then we’ll have to catch up.

Let’s see … straight from “Star Trek” to “Iron Man III,” moving from Cali to Wyoming, and no internet access at home. No, I’m afraid those reasons just aren’t good enough for neglecting us as you’ve been. Next you’ll be telling us your dog ate the blog entries you intended to post. You’re gonna have to come up with better excuses than this, John. 😀

Looking forward to hearing from you again soon. My best to your family!

John, will you be doing your IM3 work from home or are you coming here to NC?

If you pass thru Raleigh, give me a yell. Beer’s on me!

Hope you and the family have a safe and easy move.

I thought all the design work for the next Star Trek was finished months ago. But I don’t mind a lack of posts now if it means lots of art to look at later.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with for Iron Man 3! 🙂
