Starfleet vessels
A few years back Perpetual Entertainment was putting together an awesome online computer game based on a Star Trek future slightly ahead of “Nemesis” Ryan Dening and Todd Remon were the design leaders on the project and I heard about this project thru the grapevine. I spent a good year bothering them relentlessly to let me come over and have fun with them in the Art Dept. they finally did because someone quit!!!HAAAA! I was in heaven but it was a long drive to work. They were based in San Francisco, I guess it’s just as long of a drive to go to LA!!! This one was one of my favs, and when it came time to interview for the new Trek movie I did a retro version to use as an my application and resume
Race to Witch Mountain
In Honor of this the first week of the release of Disney’s “Race to Witch Mountain” here are some pictures of the Kids Space craft. I had always wanted to do a flying saucer and this was a fun movie to do so on. This one was a team effort. I worked out the overall look, than CG artist Billy Hunter started to do the set blueprints and detailed modeling, He left early for another gig and Aric Chang came in to finish off all the modeling. These guys are awesome and it was a treat to work with em.
Retro Klingon Bird of Prey Pt. 2
Here are some tighter views.
Retro Klingon Bird of Prey Pt. 1
This Klingon concept was originally drawn in the DS9 days when an early version of a script asked for a new BOP design, after this drawing was done the new ship was written out so this one got shelved. It surfaced again as an alternate design also for “Unexpected” Well we all know the end results of this topic and it would go to various other meetings as an alternate but never did anything more than go for the ride.
